What’s for dinner?

SOLC Day 25: What’s for dinner?

“What’s for dinner?”

Sometimes it’s an easy answer.

Sometimes it  makes me want to scream.

Sometimes I wish I didn’t have to answer.

But tonight, let the kids decide what’s for dinner.

Their choice…pancakes!  That was easy!

Maybe I’ll ask them, “what’s for dinner?” tomorrow.

  1. I can certainly relate to this! It’s always a dreaded question for me too. It’s even a dreaded question when I can easily answer it because many times I get the dreaded response to the dreaded question…the whine, the “I don’t like that” from one of the question askers. Pancakes seem to be my saving grace sometimes too! They are always loved. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Good answers all around! Let the kids decide. Kids love to eat simple. I wonder how long it would take for the adults to get sick of the kids answers!? Maybe that would motivate back to a place of enjoying answering that question yourself? I am single, and so, I am the only one to answer that question, and it seems to simply haunt me constantly. I started menu planning at least a week in advance, and I have found it definitely takes the pressure off the answer 90% of the time! Cute post. I like the light-hearted feel of it.
