SOLC: Day 13 of 31

My favorite time of the year

It’s the time of the year when they are connecting all of the dots of everything that I have taught.

It’s the time of the year to look back and see how much they have grown.

It’s the time of the year when I reap what I have sown.

  1. Yes, it’s a joy to witness growth over time. You capture well the cyclical nature of our work, reaping what we sow, recognizing how so many things come together in the minds of our students.

  2. Oh, Caroline, this reminded me of the years I taught kindergarten in Bahrain. February and March were my absolutely favorite parts of the year. They had learned and applied so much of the English we had been learning. I could relate to all you wrote. I love that you are reaping what you have sown!

  3. In four sentences you have taken me back to many years and the memories this time of year brought in my AP Lit classes, the only full-year class I taught when we moved to trimesters. Good times.
